Innovative method to light up rural Rwanda

Nuru, a private lighting company has come up with a innovative method to light up villages in rural Rwanda. Their lighting system uses two LED light bulbs and can be recharged using a foot-pedal generator. Nuru has tied up with entrepreneurs in rural Rwanda who sell these lights, service them and also run power cycle stations to recharge them. Read more here. via finacial post
